Policy Development
For developing countries, policy is typically shaped by complex historical, geo-political and cultural realities. In addition, the modern trading environment is being shaped by rapid technological change affecting economies and societies. Policy development presents both challenges and opportunities. The process is a balancing act which requires convergence among varying stakeholders’ interests and must reflect the imperative of safeguarding livelihoods with a view to sustainable development.
