Trade Development
The development of trade competitiveness within the current climate of high risk is one of the most important priorities for Caribbean small states. Regional integration is a huge opportunity and the (lack of seamless integration a major setback) to the operation of small firms in the Caribbean; already constrained by high transaction costs and inefficient business environments. Capacity building can support entrepreneurial firms to understand the complexities of the modern trading environment, and prepare them to overcome many of the challenges, through a strategic orientation towards the knowledge economy.
